Hello to friends of Uri Breier,
Another of our friends has "Flown West" after losing flight speed for the last time.
Lifetime pilot, Uri Breier died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the age of 92. He was born May 29, 1917. A former pilot in the Israeli Air Force, he was Chief, Lycoming Flight Services and Test Pilot, flying both helicopters such and the Bell UH-1 "Huey" and fixed wing aircraft such as the Grumman AO-1 "Mohawk" and the North American AJ-2 "Savage" used to test the Lycoming ALF502. Uri is shown in that cockpit above on the right.
On Saturday, October 3, 2009, a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Meadow Ridge Retirement Community, 100 Redding Road, Redding, CT 06896 (203-544-7733) where Uri was a resident.
Uri's daughter, Michele, needs to have an idea of how many would be attending in order to prepare for a small reception to follow the Service. In addition she wishes to know who would like to say a few words at the Service so she can make arrangements accordingly.
Please notify Ted Stypinski, 203-255-2396 or email tstyp@aol.com.
